Usha is a devoted disciple of an Acharyashree, while her younger brother Shaym and uncle Nanukaka love to live a live of fun and laughter. When Usha invites Acharyashree to stay at her home for fifteen days, a grand tussle begins between him and Nanukaka, and their two very distinct philosophies.
As soon as Acharyashree enters the house, he declares a ban on everything - from the Mallika Sherawat poster on the wall and the game of chess to the music CDs and spicy food. When Nanukaka refuses to bow down to this tyranny, a war is declared.
Along with Acharyashree has come his adopted daughter, Geeta, a young girl in old women's clothes, living a life devoid of any colour or spice. Shyam instantly falls for her and in his bid to win over Acharyashree's confidence becomes his disciple.
While Shyam becomes influenced by Acharyashree, Geeta finds solace in Nanukaka's words and his assurance that life is beautiful and there is no harm in living it like any other human being.
All this while, Usha is also realizing that she is losing out on simple pleasures of life while blindly following Acharyashree's 'simple living and high thinking' philosophy.
