‘Maru Gujarat’ is about a woman Ganga Ma who strives hard for the wellbeing of the villagers. She ends up having the Thakur Surya Pratap as her enemy who makes her and her husband’s life miserable. When Ganga Ma stands up for justice, she has to bear the brunt at the hands of the dishonest lawmakers and the Thakur. To render her helpless Thakur kills her husband. Ganga Ma vows to seek to put an end to Thakur’s torture and dedicate her life for the betterment of her daughter and the villagers. How Ganga Ma the main protagonist of the movie leads her life forms the crux of the story.
