Rajjat A. Barjatya
Managing Director & CEO
Rajjat has had the privilege of being born in a family with a rich lineage of producing
and distributing Indian entertainment content for decades. Rajjat's vision to engage
with a digitally connected global audience through new media platforms led to the
incubation of Rajshri Media, India's leading Web and Mobile studio and the digital
arm of the Rajshri group.
Rajjat is widely credited for the success of Rajshri.com, India's leading broadband
video on demand portal for premium Indian entertainment and special interest content.
Rajshri.com created history by releasing Rajshri's film, Vivah, day and date with
its worldwide theatrical release in November 2006. Rajjat is also the brain behind
Akbar Birbal Remixed, India's first show developed and produced exclusively for
Web and Mobile screens. This is in line with Rajjat's aim to entertain and delight
a global audience by making entertainment and special interest content available
on any digital device, anywhere, anytime.
Rajjat is now all set to take the Rajshri group into new domains in his quest to
make Rajshri a global entertainment brand.
Shashank Sathe
CTO
Shashank has 15+ years of experience in core Information Technology management.
He has been a pioneer in the development of Internet and eBanking applications in
India. He brings to the table a combined knowledge of core eBanking and Finance,
Internet Ad-Servers, Web Application Development and Rich Media-On-Demand Platforms.
Shashank is an established expert on cross-platform technology architecture planning
and deployment. He hosts several corporate workshops and discussion forums on a
number of cutting-edge technology issues.
Shashank holds multiple masters degrees in computer applications, information systems
management, business management, statistics and operations research from Indian
Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), L. N. Welingkar's, Narsee Monjee Institute
of Management Studies and NCC (U.K). He also holds professional degrees in Para-psychology
& Human Psychology and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Advanced Holographic Storage Technologies.
Shruti Nagar
Sr. Manager - Content
Shruti heads content programming at Rajshri Media and oversees all of Rajshri's
web and mobile properties. During the past 12 years, she has written for Television
and print but Shruti's true calling lies in digital media. Shruti's vast experience,
minute attention to detail and her ability to guide a young team is holding her
in good stead as she manages Rajshri's growing content portfolio and also spearheads
Rajshri's foray into new genres, languages and made-for digital content.
Swati Rohatgi
Editor - News & Reviews
Swati’s tryst with Bollywood on the web began at the age of 18 as a freelancer.
Her passion for work has increased with each passing day and has stood her in good
stead. From being a correspondent to a principal correspondent within six months,
from handling the back-end of portals to managing the front-end consisting of the
editorial content, from covering page 3 events to breaking Bollywood news stories,
from taking exclusive celebrity interviews to covering the second season of IPL
single-handedly, Swati has handled diverse responsibilities with great élan.
At Rajshri Media, Swati heads the Bollywood news and reviews team that produces
exclusive news clips, celeb bytes and reviews new releases every week for Rajshri.com
and other web and mobile partners of Rajshri Media. She has been responsible for
turning Rajshri.com from an entertainment portal to a comprehensive Bollywood News
and Entertainment portal. At the age of 21 and just one year after her graduation
in English Literature from Mithibai College, Mumbai, Swati might be one of the youngest
Consulting Editors in her field.
Nilesh Mishra
Chief Editor
Nilesh and his team of editors are responsible for ingesting, editing and transcoding
thousands of hours of video content, which users view on Rajshri.com. In addition,
they also tag, store and catalog Rajshri Media's vast library of video assets for
timely retrieval. All of this is loosely termed Digital Asset Management.
Nilesh is also responsible for timely delivery of content, in pre-defined specifications,
to Rajshri Media's Web and Mobile syndication partners. He has been part of Rajshri
Media's core team from day one. He has grown with the company and with the nascent
online video industry. Nilesh has completed his FCP course from Arena Multimedia,
Mumbai.
